Every September, Deutsche Schule Durban opens its doors to some of our most cherished visitors—our learners’ grandparents and great-grandparents.
This special morning is a highlight on the school calendar, as the older generation is invited to experience where their grandchildren learn and play. Guests are treated to a warm welcome, a delightful programme of music and performances, and of course, coffee and cake.
The morning features performances by our school orchestras, as well as musical items from each class. A moving highlight is when our Grade 7 learners share heartfelt tributes to their grandparents, while the Grade 6s proudly present their science projects. It’s a morning filled with joy, appreciation, and a celebration of family across generations.
